Dexter Season 5 News: Julia Stiles to Join the Cast
From an EW report by Michael Ausiello, It comes into view that actress Julia Stiles is at the moment in talks to become part of America's most favorite TV show Dexter.
According to Meghan Carlson from buddytv.com, Julia Stiles is said to be in advanced talks to play a major, top secret role in the upcoming Dexter Season 5. Right now, its hard to predict that what role she’ll be playing, but we know it’s not going to follow in John Lithgow’s footsteps.
“We don’t want to try and top John Lithgow, so we’re going to change up the forces that Dexter’s going to be dealing with,” As said by Chip Johannessen who is the new show-runner.
It seems like Julie Benz who played Dexter’s wife Rita until she was killed in the season 4 finale will be coming back in the season 5 premiere in September. Not much has been said about how she will return, but it won’t be in a waking vision like Dexter’s father Harry.

My guess is Julie Stiles will be the psychologist assigned to Dexter after the murder of his wife.

i just saw the preview trailer for the new season of dexter, it seems that the show is going to be starting off in a very strange way, dexter is delving in homosexuality. tho, because i think that for that to be a new life style would cause a huge fan base loss. i think he is useing it as a way to try to stop killing a to deal with ritas death. also i think it was the trinity killer who killed rita, but it could also have been that neighbor who kissed her. a sad coincidence to try to frame dexter on his wifes murder. i think debra is going to to find out dexters secret and help cover for him, because he is going to be the first suspect, and he will have to tell her that it was trinity and why it was him. shes going to notice the extreme similarity between dexter and his son when it comes to thier mothers deaths. julie stiles as a psychologist sounds pretty good, dexter is going to be going through hell this comeing season. alot of the past was brought up and even more will be layed open. i actually think masuka will have a bigger role, he seemed to grow up a bit more last season, him a deb will become closer friends no relationship though romanticaly speaking. i think deb will move in with dex and the kids, or astor and cody my go live with thier granparents at first, because they were mentioned several times last season. very interesting to see what happens. this season is going to go over the top though.
It's so weird but (above) blogger could be spot on the mark with every idea as to how season 5 will unravel. But this is Dexter you can't let yourself guess or expect anything. I learnt that from ritas death end of season 4. Wow what a mind fuck!

Some people are soooooo stupid.
The show, unlike other SHO/HBO shows, doesn't follow the book. It only takes certain parts,for example, Debra finds out about Dexter in book one, which is season 1, which obviously didn't actually happen. I doubt she'll find out because even though it worked for the books, it won't work for the show.
