Dexter Season 5 - Preview of the Show
Dexter is an American television drama series that airs on a premium channel Showtime. The Miami based series revolves around Dexter Morgan character which is played by Michael C. Hall, a serial killer who serves Miami Metro Police Department as a blood spatter analyst.
The show centers on characters created by Jeff Lindsay for his series of Dexter novels. The idea of adapting this novel into a television drama was given by Emmy Award winning screenwriter James Manos, who was writer of the plot episode.
Showtime announced on 21st Oct 2008 about upcoming fourth and fifth season, each made up of twelve episodes. Season 4 broadcasted its season finale on 13th Dec 2009 to a record-breaking viewers of 2.6 million, which was historically recorded as most watched original series episode on Showtime.
Dexter Season 4 which became television hit, left us with an unsolved mystery after killing of Rita Bennett who was Dexter’s wife, and one other major characters. What producers had in mind before making finale that it should be special and shocking, So that viewers remain stunned and puzzled until the release of season 5.
What happens on Dec 13 truly illustrates the achievement of producers. They delivered an unbelievable shocking finale which leaves us with an insight of Dexter’s own memories.
